The Masacote Dance Company specializes in performing and teaching Afro-Latin Dance, often to live music by the Ritmo Masacote Orchestra. It has featured in such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Center, and the Berklee Performance Center.

The troupe has toured extensively across five continents, earning an impressive international reputation as ambassadors of Afro-Latin dance and music. In 2008, Masacote produced the world’s first scripted Salsa dance theater production, using entirely original music and dance compositions. Masacote’s awards include the 2009 Boston Dance Alliance R&R Fellowship and the 2015 New England Salsa Music Award for lifetime achievement in dance.
