Lisa Field-Coleman

Masacote Coach

Specialties: NY style salsa On 2, body movement

A Harlem, NY native, Lisa stepped into her first dance class at 6 years old and hasn’t stopped dancing since. Training in neo-classical ballet, tap, and jazz at Harlem School of the Arts and Dance Theater of Harlem as a child lit a fire, resulting in studying Ailey & Graham modern techniques at Vassar Repertory Dance Theatre in college. She branched out into partner dance and trained in both latin and smooth ballroom dances before being introduced to salsa at Masacote in 2018. She quickly fell in love with Afro-Cuban salsa and moved through Masacote’s training program being a part of the student team, performing at Boston Salsa Festival 2019, and joining MASA2, Masacote’s professional track program. She is passionate about helping dancers develop a solid foundation and finding their own style through dance and music.

Lisa has a bachelors of science degree in Organizational Communications from Northeastern University and currently works at American Repertory Theater at Harvard University
