July Styling Retreat
Sample Itinerary

Weekday Schedule

Each day will build on the previous day’s schedule.

* Material is dedicated to followers’ styling, but all genders welcome to attend!

6:15-6:45am
Meditation – Practice mindfulness and balance.
7:00-7:30am
Insanity and P90X Workouts – Get fit and channel more energy. Workouts are optional, but participants who complete all 5 workout days receive a SURVIVOR Retreat t-shirt.
8:00-8:45am
Breakfast – Prepared by the on-camp chef.
8:45-9:30am
Spinning Technique – Learn proper body alignment and build awareness of your core.
9:30-10:30am
Movement & Isolations – Learn body isolations, rumba and Afro-Cuban fundamentals.
10:30am-11:30am
Technique & Presence – Develop strong lines & execution of arms, body, legs, and hip movement.
11:30am-12:30pm
Creative Expression – Work through improvisational tools and exercises to inspire your personal expression.
12:30-1:30pm
Lunch – Prepared by the on-camp chef.
1:30-2:30pm
Beach/Siesta – Beach is a 5-min walk from camp!
Or Take Privates, Massage, Practice on site.
2:30-3:30pm
Rhythm & Footwork – Build your technique and expression while learning how to develop more rhythmical footwork. Split Stages. Classes rotate between Masacote coaches.
3:30-4:30pm
Partnering Incorporation – Learn how to incorporate styling without interrupting the lead. Be prepared to learn basic partnering to switch into leading and following roles.
4:30-5:00pm
Cool Down/Videotape – Stretch and videotape what was taught throughout the day.
5:00-5:30pm
Practice – Practice or free time.
5:30-6:30pm
Dinner – Prepared by the on-camp chef.
6:30-8:00pm
Free Time
8:00-9:00pm
Hot Chocolate Hour – Special group lectures and discussions each day.
9:00PM AND ON:
Free Time -Break and enjoy the camp!

Schedule is subject to change. During free times, you are welcome to practice on your own in the studio (unlimited access at any time of day), visit the beach, play some basketball, lounge on the camp swings, or just relax. Horseback Riding is offered for small fee during July Retreats.
