Flamenco Workshop

About the Flamenco Workshop
We’re so excited to collaborate with Yu-Ling Hu for a special Flamenco Workshop!
As much as we love Salsa, we believe dance goes beyond one genre. This workshop is a beautiful opportunity for our students to explore a new art form, expand their versatility, and step outside their comfort zones. Growth happens when we try something new!
This workshop introduces the fundamental rhythms and postures of Flamenco to help you broaden your movement vocabulary. By exploring a new dance language, you will discover practical tools—like grounded footwork and intentional arm styling—that add fresh textures and confidence to your existing dance practice. Come experience the fire of Flamenco and find new ways to express yourself through movement.
Recommended footwear: character shoes, shoes with thick heels or gym shoes (No open-toed shoes please)
Yu-Ling was a company dancer of Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater (EESDT) in Chicago from 2007 to 2016. Yu-Ling toured with EESDT and performed nationally and internationally and she studied from several masters including Omayra Amaya, Carmela Greco, Paloma Gomez, Carlos Rodriguez and ect. Yu-Ling is also a board certified dance therapist and her work reaches to people with wide range of physical abilities and cultural diversities.
