About the Choreo Challenge​

-Wondering how to apply all this training in from the spinning intensive and/or the body awareness and movement intensive to your dance?

-You’re an advanced dancer and want to push your dancing to the next level?

 

We're thrilled to announce a never-before-offered opportunity to learn a challenging choreography stemming from Masacote concepts in just "6 weeks". This is your perfect opportunity to apply and share what you’ve been working so hard to learn throughout the year!

 

Choreography challenging facts:

-You love focused, goal-oriented training,

-Want to up level your spins and styling

-Challenge yourself to learn within a shirt period of time.

-Want to push your own limits of learning, retaining and perfecting choreography.

-Do more than you thought possible.

-Want to perform but can’t commit right now to a full season

-Can’t wait for the season to start and want to get a head start.

-Have never performed and have that itch to try it out!

-Launch your dancing to the next level.

 

It will be full of fast footwork, snappy spins, and suave styling.

You will be part of a hyper-focused, committed group of dancers

You do need to show up, work hard, and practice.

Is that you? We’d love to dance with you.

Dates: Starts on November 12th to December 17th (6 weeks total)

Schedule: Tuesdays 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Cost: $125 per 6 weeks

 " BONUS "

- Tuesdays 7:30 - 8:30pm – Creative Expression – ****FREE to all participants*****

For these 6 weeks C.E. will be tailored to incorporate elements of the choreography. This will provide additional training opportunity to cement material presented in the spinning intensive and/or choreo hour and also work on applying it to your dance in ways beyond choreography to expand your dance! In other words, will really help if you come!

 

Additionally:

- Thursdays 6:30-8:30pm – Spin Intensive will provide the foundation for the choreography.

(Spin Intensive – Starts Nov 7 – Dec 12th ). All participants may enroll at a discount rate of $150 instead of the regular $200)

 

Choreography Intensive Training:

The choreography will be taught and practiced in a strategic and focused way, drawing on material worked on in the spin intensive. Each Tuesday will introduce and train a new section of the choreography. It is very important that students review what we learned the week before. Videos of each section will be provided after each class which will give you the opportunity to practice outside of class. For example, allocating 5 to 10 min a day minimum will make maximum difference!

Limit: Limited to 25 students

Stage Requirement: Salsa Stage 1+ (Knowledge of Basics On2)

Tentative Performance Schedule:

Soft Debut December 15 at Masacote Holiday Party

Performances will be in Boston throughout January.

We will continue training on Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30 on Tuesdays for the month of January (Jan 7, 14, 21, 28)

Note*:

- $25 off discount on all regular membership classes.

- Unlimited memberships pay flat rate of $75

- $50 off on any intensives.

- $5 off on Afro Cuban Workshop Series.

COVID-19 Guidelines:

Per CAC's safety guidelines and approved by the City of Cambridge, face masks or coverings are no longer required to be worn inside gyms. However. we do encourage those who feel more comfortable wearing masks to continue to do so.

Additional Details

What to wear: Dress comfortably! Sweatpants, dress pants, leggings, leotards, skirts, wraps, and sarongs are all welcome. Dance shoes are not required for this workshop.
