About The Masa Coach Workshop

We’re kicking off the year with a special workshop focused on non-conventional concepts that explore patterns, musicality, and movement in a fresh, creative way. This session goes beyond the basics, diving into how and why we move, not just what we do. Led by none other than G from Masacote, this experience will challenge you to think differently about your dancing.

Date: Saturday, April 18th, 2026

Time: 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM

Location: Cambridge Athletic Club, 215 First Street, Cambridge, MA

Pricing: $35 (Memberships receive $5–$10 off)

Patterns – Breaking the Mold

Instead of memorizing fixed sequences, G will guide you through pattern concepts that are adaptable and fluid. You’ll learn how to:

  • Deconstruct common turn patterns and rebuild them with your own style

  • Play with direction changes, timing variations, and unexpected transitions

  • Blend shines into partnerwork seamlessly

  • Create patterns that feel natural instead of rehearsed

This approach helps you become a more creative and responsive dancer, rather than someone who relies on memorized combinations.

Musicality – Dancing Inside the Music

Musicality is where your dancing comes alive. G will help you connect deeply to the music by teaching you how to:

  • Recognize key elements like the clave, breaks, accents, and phrasing

  • Match your movement to different instruments (percussion, piano, vocals)

  • Use pauses, hits, and changes in energy to add texture to your dance

  • Shift between smooth, sharp, and playful qualities depending on the song

You won’t just hear the music—you’ll learn how to interpret it and express it physically.

G’s Special Moves – Style, Flare, and Flow

Known for his unique style, G brings a signature blend of precision, groove, and creativity. In this workshop, he’ll share:

  • Distinctive footwork combinations that mix sharpness with fluidity

  • Signature body movement that adds depth and personality

  • Creative “switch-ups” that surprise your partner and elevate your dancing

  • Techniques for maintaining control while still looking effortless

These aren’t just flashy moves, they’re tools to help you develop your own voice and presence on the dance floor.

This high-energy footwork workshop is designed to help you move with confidence, musicality, and unmistakable style. Whether you dance On1, On2, or simply love to groove, you’ll walk away with stronger fundamentals and a fresh perspective.

Perfect for:

  • Dancers who want stronger, sharper footwork

  • Social dancers looking to stand out with confidence

  • Anyone ready to move with more flavor, control, and flow
