About the Intensive
ARM STYLING
Learn the elements of elegant and strong arm extensions from the absolute queen of arm styling.
Arm styling is an underappreciated art. Learn the foundations of extensions, how to express music through arm extensions, and how to incorporate arm styling into shines and partnerwork.
In this class, Ana will:
-
Guide you through a series of exercises to understand, control and express your movement and music through arm styling.
-
Break down the elements of arm styling for leads and follows, making this often overlooked – and unexpectedly complex – aspect of your style accessible and fun.
-
Show you how to lusciously embrace arm styling and incorporate it seamlessly into your repertoire.
-
Teach you to be precise and purposeful with your arm styling.
Extensions can make or break a dance. They add flavor and elegance to your dance and unique flare and flavor to your style.
Leave with a whole new way of expressing yourself on the dance floor.
Come learn from the absolute master of style, Ana Tinajero.
FOOTWORK WITH MOVEMENT FUSION
Always feel like a deer in the headlights when you break apart for shines? Never sure what to do with your feet, or do you lose the beat?
In this class you will:
-
Learn how to play with the music, with speed and level changes, and with your own expression.
-
Blow open your mind to help you think about footwork, shines and movement in an entirely new way.
-
Express yourself, and the music, in a connected, stress-free, and purposeful way.
-
Build confidence, take your time, find ease and grace in your footwork and access your unique dance expression.
Come be inspired to transform your dance, to fuse movement into footwork.
This workshop will show you how to flow through shines, incorporate breath, breaks and rhythm into shines and footwork. You will learn to listen to the music differently, flow through movement, slow down, and express the pauses as well as the hard hitting sections of music.
